Share your money

Once you have upgraded, you can add an additional card to your online account to share money with a friend/family member, or to help budget. Your additional card costs just €6 (automatically deducted from your online account).

 

Card to Card payments

Once you have upgraded you can also make payments to another Ruby MasterCard. You can choose to move funds to the recipient’s card or online account. P2P payments are charged at €1.

 

Receive your wages directly to your Rubycard
Get your wages paid directly to your Rubycard once you have upgraded. Simply log in to your Rubycard account and fill in the ‘Salary/Wages Form’ under the ‘Top-Up’ Tab.

Your Rubycard Prepaid MasterCard® has a €2,000 cumulative annual balance, which means that you can’t spend or load more than that sum in any 12 month period.

To increase your card limit and increase the amount of load options available you can upgrade to a €5,000 limit card for €3.95. To upgrade you can first log into your account and click on upgrade. You will then be asked for your passport details. If you cannot upgrade by using your passport details then we will need a proof of address and a copy of your photo ID. Acceptable examples are outlined below

 

 Photo ID – one of the forms of identification listed below (photocopy or scanned copy):

• The photo page of your passport.

• Your EEA Identity Card 

• Your Irish driving licence

 

Proof of address – an original document dated within the last 3 months from the list below:

• Mortgage/bank/credit card statement

• Evidence of entitlement to a state or local authority-funded benefit

• Utility bill
